Submarine Submarine Euphonic provides terminal equipment for both unrepeatered and repeatered submarine cable installations. Euphonic offers extensive expertise and full turn-key solutions for the non-disruptive upgrade of existing infrastructure. In addition, we offer new-build solutions through extensive partnerships with established providers of repeaters, cable and marine services. The Nu-Wave XLS uses Raman amplification to bridge spans of over 400 km on unrepeatered systems and can be seamlessly deployed while preserving existing wet plant, such as ROPAs (Remote Optically Pumped Amplifiers). The NXT offers high capacities on long-span systems with repeaters, again without requiring changes to the existing equipment. For regional repeatered submarine systems with distances from approximately 500 km to 3,000 km, the Nu-Wave XLR provides a compact, cost-effective solution. The Nu-Wave XLS maximizes the benefits of all-Raman amplification by integrating distributed Raman and discrete or lumped Raman amplification, and has been used to deploy the longest reach high-capacity unrepeatered system in the world. Service providers seeking to support low capacity services with a smooth evolution towards hundreds of gigabits will benefit from the modular scalability of the XT system. |
